Pholde is the ambient sound project by Alan Bloor. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Bloor began experimenting with sounds in the mid-'80's in Detroit with various poets and sound experimenters. I have followed Duncan Ritchie’s various projects for more than a decade on various media platforms. I have watched and listened to his style develop across his projects. I have enjoyed most of his projects but this one just blew me away. You have to check this out!

Stellar scifi-horror ambient. ProtoU does a splendid job evoking both the fascinating and the terrifying affects an encounter with the unknown encompasses. Special mention goes to Capsule of Decaying Dreams, which for me is a stark reminder of the ephemeral nature of existence, reason and form itself.

I´m glad to discover this album, on this unusual label. Ugasanie takes the listener through dark and dense landscapes. Full of detailed field recordings and a sense for a great cinematic atmosphere. This piece gives a foretaste for the new album "Eye of Tunguska" on the "Cryo Chamber" label.
